My mother got this recipe from her friend, Ella, many years ago when I was a child. We have always used this recipe for a pecan pie that is just right and not overly sweet. You'll want seconds!

Ingredients For ella's pecan pie

2 Tbspbutter, softened

1/2 clight brown sugar
-
2eggs, well beaten
-
2 Tbspall purpose flour
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspvanilla extract
-
1 ckaro light corn syrup
-
1 1/2 cpecan halves
-
19-inch pie shell (uncooked - i use pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts)
How To Make ella's pecan pie

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light.

2Add eggs, then flour, salt, vanilla, corn syrup, and pecans. Mix well by hand.

3Pour into pie shell and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
