1Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Poke the pie crust with a fork in several places in the crust.

2In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, salt, vanilla, and eggs.

3Pour the filling into the pie crust.

4Bake the pie with a pie shield or with foil around the edges at 425 for 15 minutes.

5Remove the pie shield or the foil. Turn the oven down to 350 degrees and bake for another 35 to 40 minutes.

6Cool completely on a cooling rack.

7Serve with a dollop of cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

8If you have extra pie dough, using a cookie cutter cut it into shapes. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Once the pumpkin pie has been baked, the pieces can be added to the top for decoration.
