I can't remember where I got this recipe, only that it was many years ago. It's fast and easy to make and very popular as a dessert at a potluck or church supper.

Ingredients For easy cheesecake pie

  • 1 1/4 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter or margerine
  • filling:
  • 1 pkg
    8 ounce, cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 dash
    salt
  • topping:
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make easy cheesecake pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine crumbs and melted butter or margerine. Press into a buttered 8"-9" pie pan, building up around sides. -----OR----- Use a pre-made graham cracker crust.

    Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually blend in sugar, lemon juice, vanilla and salt.Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.

    Pour filling into crust and bake for about 30 minutes or until set.

    Combine the sour cream, sugar and vanilla and mix well. Spoon over top of pie and bake for 10 minutes longer. Cool and chill for several hours before serving.
