1/2 tspsalt

2 cmilk

1 tsppure vanilla extract

1/4 tspground nutmeg, if desired

1unbaked 9 inch pie shell with high fluted edge
How To Make custard pie

1Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.

2In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar. Beat in vanilla, salt and nutmeg. Stir in milk. Pour into crust. Spinkle top with a little bit of nutmeg.

3Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Knife inserted near center comes out clean.
