Ingredients For crunchy caramel apple pie

1pastry for single crust, 9 inch pie
- PIE FILLING

1/2 csugar

3 Tbspall purpose flour
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1/8 tspsalt
-
6-7 mdapples, granny smith (6 cups)
- CRUMB TOPPING

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 cquick oats
-
1/2 cbutter
- TOPPING
-
1/2 cpecans, in pieces
-
1/3 ccaramel topping, or more :)
How To Make crunchy caramel apple pie

1Prepare pie crust, set aside. Heat oven to 375*.Sift together sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Add apples and toss to coat. Pour into pie shell. set aside for aminute to prepare your crumb coating.

2Mix together the brown sugar,oats,1/2 cup of flour. cut in the butter till mix is crumbly. pour over apple mixture.

3Cover the edges with foil. Bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 25-30 minutes more, or until top is a nice golden brown. Remove from oven. sprinkle with chopped pecans and then drizzle caramel topping. Cool on wire rack. Great served warm with ice cream. OMGosh, Im hungry again. :) xoxo
