i always take this pie to our thanksgiving & christmas dinners. everyone loves it.

Ingredients For coconut cream pie

1 csugar
-
1/4 ccornstarch
-
4 ccan milk
-
6eggs
-
1/2 ccoconut
-
1 tspvanilla
-
3 Tbspmargarine

1/4 tspsalt
How To Make coconut cream pie

1combine sugar ,cornstarch,salt in saucepan gradually add milk & cook until thick & bubbly

2reduce heat, beat yolks & stir in about 1 cup of hot mixture in to yolks , return to saucepan & bring to a boil, cook 2 minutes more.

3remove from heat & stir in margarine & vanilla & coconut.pour into baked pie shells. top with meringue & sprinkle with coconut . bake at 400 until meringue is light brown. makes 2 deep dish pies

4you can also make chocolate or banana cream with this recipe. add 3 tbs cocoa or 2 bananas sliced.
