I tried this recipe many years ago because I wanted something to make my plain chocolate pie a little special. We loved it. I just put a dollop of coolwhip on it when I serve it. Ingredients For chocolate pecan pie

  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 12 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans or walnuts, halves or chopped
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1
    9-inch pie shell, unbaked

How To Make chocolate pecan pie

    In a medium sauce pan, combine milk, butter and chocolate. Stir over low heat until melted.

    In a bowl, mix eggs, syrup, flour and salt. Stir to combine well. Add to chocolate mixture and stir until heated and smooth.

    Remove from heat, add nuts and vanilla.

    Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and back at 375 F for about 45 minutes.
