I have request for this pie before the holidays. I make several and freeze them in advance. Updated 12-1-2018.......I substituted brown rice syrup as well as Maple syrup for corn syrup, which worked out nicely

Ingredients For chocolate pecan pie

  • 1 pkg
    baker's german sweet chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    corn syrup, light or dark
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 c
    pecan halves
  • 1
    unbaked pie shell

How To Make chocolate pecan pie

  • 1
    Microwave chocolate and butter in microwaveable bowl on high 45 seconds to 1 minute or until melted, stirring half way. Do not over melt.

    Combine sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. Add melted chocolate.Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell.

    Bake 50 minutes or untill filling is firm 2 inches from edge. Cool on wire rack.
