The original recipe says to bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F, but I usually have to bake it longer. It's done when you can jiggle it a little and it's somewhat solid. Just like hot chocolate topping in a solid form. Heavenly!

2 1/4 csugar

1/3 ccocoa powder

1 pinchsalt

3eggs

1 canevaporated milk

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

1pie crust shell
How To Make chocolate chess pie

1Melt butter.

2combine dry ingredients.

3Mix butter into dry ingredients (some say slowly, I find that the butter is greasy enough to prevent clumping)

4Add eggs, evaporated milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.

5Pour into pastry.
