Ingredients For chewy natchez bourbon-pecan pie

  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 c
    dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup
  • 3 lg
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    bourbon
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1
    9-inch pie crust (I use refrigerated)

How To Make chewy natchez bourbon-pecan pie

    Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well. Pour the mixture into the 9-inch pastry shell.

    Bake at 225 degrees F for 2 1/2 hours. (This is not a typo.)

    Increase the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until set. Watch carefully in the last few minutes for the pie to set. Remove from oven.

    Cool on a wire rack.
