1 1/2 cpecans, chopped

1 cdark brown sugar, firmly packed

1 clight corn syrup

3 lgeggs, lightly beaten

2 Tbspbourbon

1 tsppure vanilla extract

19-inch pie crust (I use refrigerated)
How To Make chewy natchez bourbon-pecan pie

1Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well. Pour the mixture into the 9-inch pastry shell.

2Bake at 225 degrees F for 2 1/2 hours. (This is not a typo.)

3Increase the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until set. Watch carefully in the last few minutes for the pie to set. Remove from oven.

4Cool on a wire rack.
