Ingredients For cherry creme pie

2/3 csugar

2 Tbspcornstarch

2 Tbspflour

1/4 tspsalt

1 1/2 cmilk
-
2egg yolks, lightly beaten

1/2 cwhipping cream
-
1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

1baked 9 inch pie shell
-
1 cancherry pie filling
How To Make cherry creme pie

1In saucepan combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add milk and mix until smooth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until very thick.

2Blend a little of the hot mixture into the slightly beaten egg yolks and add to the rest of the hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Cover and chill.

3Beat whipping cream. Add vanilla to chilled mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.

4Put whipped filling in pie shell and cover with cherry pie filling. Garnish with whipped cream if desired. Keep refrigerated.
