This is a traditional holiday dessert that's real quick and easy. Our family had several kids that didn't care for the cherry topping so they scraped off the cherries. We told them the cherries were chicken eyeballs to try to keep them from eating all the pie and leaving the cherries in the pan. It didn't help, but the kids started calling it Chicken Eyeball Pie.
