Ingredients For caramel apple pie
- PASTRY

2 1/2 call purpose flour

1/4 csugar

1 tspsalt

1 stickbutter
-
1/4 cvegetable oil

1/4 cwater
-
1egg
- APPLE FILLING

6 cgranny smith apples, chopped and peeled

1 csugar
-
1/3 cflour
-
2 tspfresh lemon juice
-
1 1/2 tspcinnamon
- CARAMEL SAUCE
-
1-8oz pkgcaramels
-
1/2 chalf and half
- TOPPING
-
1-8oz pkgcream cheese
-
1/3 csugar
-
1egg
-
1/3 cwalnuts (optional)
How To Make caramel apple pie

1Preheat oven t 350 In a large bowl, combine four, sugar, and salt. Cut butter into flour mixture until fine cumbs form. In a small bowl, combine oil, egg, and water, beat until smooth and creamy. Slowly add wet mixture to dry mixture. Blend together until dough is smooth. Press dough into a 10 inch deep pie plate. In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, lemon juice and cinnamon and todd lightly. Spoon into crust. In a small saucepan combine caramels and half and half. Cook over low heat until smooth. Spoon caramel over apples. In a medium size saucepan combine cream cheese, sugar and egg. Cook on low heat until melted and smooth. Spoon over caramel apple mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
