Ingredients For caramel apple pie

1/2 csugar

1/2 cmilk
-
1/2 cheavy cream
-
1/4 cbutter or margarine
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
2 Tbspmilk

1 tspvanilla

5large thinly sliced apples (or enough to fill pie dish)

1 tspflour
-
1/4 tspcinnamon ( a little more never hurt anything :)

1/2 cpowdered sugar

1 Tbspmilk

1/4 tspvanilla

1 tspbutter
-
1 pkgcaramel apple wraps..(the kind you use to wrap around apples to make caramel apples)

1 pkgpie crust ....enough for a two crust pie.
How To Make caramel apple pie

1Preheat oven to 400
-
2Combine over medium heat... 1/2C sugar...1/2C milk...1/4C butter....and 1/2C of heavy cream.. Heat until butter is melted stirring occasionally.

3In another bowl whisk 2T cornstarch ....2T milk...1T vanilla. Stir into sauce pan with previous mixture...cook until thickened stirring constantly...This should form a thick custard...

4In another bowl combine thinly slice apples...1t flour....and 1/4t cinnamon....mix well.

5Take Custard and pour it into an unbaked pie crust...add two wraps of the caramel on top of the custard.(don't worry if they don't cover the whole area of the pie)...then add apple mixture...on top of apple mixture add the remaining caramel wraps.....then add the top crust.

6Make 4 slits in the top crust of the pie.. Bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes.

7After pie is done...mix 1/2c powdered sugar....1T milk 1/4t vanilla and 1t melted butter... drizzle the mixture over the warm pie.
