Pecan pie is heartwarming and total comfort to any Texan or Southerner. This one has a wee twist, it used coffee.

Ingredients For cafinated pecan pie

  • 3 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    unsulfured molasses
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    white corn syrup
  • 1 c
    corsely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    double strength brewed coffee
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine, melted
  • 1
    unbaked pie shell (8-inch) - homemade or purchased

How To Make cafinated pecan pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • 2
    Combine eggs, molasses, corn syrup, coffee, melted butter or margarine, salt and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.

    Combine pecans and flour, add to liquid mixture and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 40 to 45 minutes

    Cool completely before cutting. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
