This pie is a lot like a Pumpkin Pie.....A Pumpkin is considered a squash.........They are very tasty...You may decide that you like this even better than the Pumpkin............

Ingredients For butternut squash pie

    pie crust shell (deep uncooked)
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    cloves
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 2/3 c
    evaporated milk (carnation)
  • 1 1/2 c
    butternut squash (cooked, pureed)

How To Make butternut squash pie

    Scoop seeds from squash bake in cake pan with a 1/2 cup of water @ 400* for 45-55 minutes. Then remove meat and put in blender to puree...Separate 1 1/2 for pie and freeze the rest for later...... Preheat #1 425* bake for 15 minutes, #2 turn down heat to 350* bake 45 more minutes.............
