Now this is what I call comfort food! It's just the thing you need on a cold winter's night. The kitchen always smells wonderful and draws you near when this is baking in the oven. And you'll probably find someone else besides your self waiting for this to come out of the oven!

Ingredients For buttermilk pie

1/2 cbutter, room temperature

1 1/2 csugar

3 Tbspall purpose flour

3eggs well beaten

1 cbuttermilk

1 tspvanilla, salt or lemon juice optional
- IF YOUR MIXTURE CURDLES IT'S OKAY!
How To Make buttermilk pie

1Mix all ingredients in the mixer until light and well blended. Pour into Pie shell and grate nutmeg over the top of the filling.

2Bake on 350 until tooth pick comes out clean and center springs back. Serve warm or cold!

3I use the Amish Pie Crust recipe that I posted on here for this pie due to its tenderness, lightness and flavor!
