This is another old recipe. It is from my Great Aunt Mae. It is another tried and true favorite of family and friends.

Ingredients For brown sugar pie

1 baked pie shell
-
4 egg yolks
-
4 tablespoons flour

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

2 cups sweet milk
-
butter-size of a walnut(4 tablespoons)

1 teaspoon vanilla
- MERINGUE

4 egg whites
-
1 teaspoon cream of tarter

4 teaspoons of water

8 tablespoons of sugar
How To Make brown sugar pie

1Cook in double boiler until thick as desired. (I cook in a saucepan over medium low heat.)

2Pour filling in a baked pie crust.

3Make meringue. Spread over filling and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Do not open door until time is up.
