bite-size apple pies

Make sure to make the homemade apple pie spice!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Apple pie in a bite-sized form ... delicious! Now, these apple pies may look a little messy and crumbly, but wow they are so good. The gingersnap crust has the perfect crunch with a mix of spice and buttery flavor. The crust just crumbles and melts in your mouth at the same time. Sauteed apples add a small burst of flavor when you bite into the pie. We highly suggest making the homemade apple pie spice. The combination of flavors is great. The cardamom has a strong, spicy flavor that works well with cinnamon and nutmeg. Gooey and sweet, the caramel sauce on top is wonderful and addicting on its own. No one will be able to resist these adorable apple pies.

-
2For the apple pies, in a bowl mix gingersnap crumbs and butter until well combined.

3With a spoon or melon ball scoop, place the mixture into a muffin cup pan and press the crust to fit inside.
-
4Bake at 350 for 5 minutes. Dice apples to make 4 cups.

-
8Take the cooked apples and spoon them into the crust. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Let cool.
