I had this pie at a restaurant several years ago, and loved it. I tried to copy it, but never could get it the same as how they made it. My husband says mine tastes better! Very delicious and a family favorite! Try it yourself! A great way to use all those fall apples!

Ingredients For best ever almond apple pie

1refrigerated pie crust
- FILLING

1/2 csugar
-
2 Tbspall purpose flour

3/4 tspcinnamon

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 tspalmond extract

7 mdapples, granny smith is best, peeled and thinly sliced
- TOPPING

1/2 cflour
-
1/2 cbrown sugar
-
1/4 cbutter ( not margerine)

1/2 csliced almonds
How To Make best ever almond apple pie

1Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Bake pie crust until slightly golden.

2In a bowl, mix filling ingredients, leaving the apples until last. Make sure the apples are completely covered.Put into crust.

3Mix topping ingredients together except almonds. Spread over apple filling and bake for 25 minutes. Remove and add almonds and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Let it cool for about an hour. Enjoy!
