Ingredients For aunt catfish's boatsinker pie

  • 2/3 c
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    light corn syrup
  • 2 1/2 oz
    unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • pinch
    salt
  • 1
    inbaked pie crust, 9"
  • ice cream or whipped cream
  • grated semisweet chocolate, optional

How To Make aunt catfish's boatsinker pie

  • 1
    Combine butter, corn syrup, and chocolate, melt together. Cool. In mixing bowl beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees 15 min. Reduce heat to 275 degrees and bake 40-45 minutes longer until set. Cool. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream and if desired sprinkle top with grated chocolate.
