How To Make apple tart
-
1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. to make the crust: Mix flour and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir in butter and vanilla until well incorporated. Press dough into a greased 9 inch tart pan or springform pan. Set aside.
-
2To make the middle layer: Beat cream cheese and egg in a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer. Add vanilla and sugar, continue beating until well combined, scraping sides of bowl as needed. Pour mixture over crust in pan and set aside.
-
3To create top layer: Peel, core, and cut apple into thin slices. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon, add apples and toss to coat with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Arrange apple slices neatly on top of unbaked tart.
-
4Bake tart 30-40 min. or until it is set and lightly browned. If tart is starting to get too brown, and not quite baked through, cover top with a piece of aluminum foil about the last 10 min of baking. Let tart cool completely before serving. Serve from tart pan or release tart from springform pan to serve.
