Being from New England apple trees are more common than currency... I have quite a few recipes I'd like to share =)

Ingredients For apple-cherry pie

  • 2 1/2 lb
    peeled and cored apples cut about 1/3 of an inch thick
  • 1/2 c
    dried cranberries
  • 6 Tbsp
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1
    store bought pie dough

How To Make apple-cherry pie

  • 1
    put all ingredients into a bowl EXCLUDING pie crust
  • 2
    line 10 in. pie plate with apple mixture
  • 3
    roll out the 2nd dough into a 13 in. diameter cut a pretty shape(or just a hole) about 2 1/4 in. out of the center
  • 4
    place 2nd dough on top and push edges together
  • 5
    brush top of pie with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar
  • 6
    bake until apples are tender. about on hour.
