My son-in-law is gluten intolerant, and so most desserts are 'not for him'. I felt so sorry for the poor man that I searched through all of my 'pesach' desserts and converted this one for him. He loved it so much that it is now 'his' dessert. I hope that you enjoy it as well.

Ingredients For apple/almond pie

6granny smith apples

60 mlshoney

1tablespoon butter, softened

60 mlssweet wine
- TOPPING

100 grmsground almonds

100 grmswhite sugar

100 grmsbutter or marg.

1large egg.
How To Make apple/almond pie

1Heat oven to 180C/350F.

2Peel, core and slice apples. Put into a 8 -9" deep pie dish. Add butter, wine and honey. Cover with glad wrap and microwave on high for approx 5 mins.

3In another bowl mix together ground almonds, butter/marg, egg, sugar. When combined spoon over the apples and spread out smoothly.

4Bake uncovered in the centre of the oven for 45 mins until cooked through and golden brown. That's all. We love this pie, so serve it with cream or ice-cream and enjoy.
