Ingredients For amish sugar cream pie

3/4 csugar

1/8 tspsalt
-
2 chalf and half
-
1/2 cwhipping cream
-
1/4 cbrown sugar
-
1/4 ccornstarch
-
1/2 cbutter
-
1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make amish sugar cream pie

1In sauce pan combine, white sugar, salt, half-and-half and whipping cream.
Bring to a boil. -
2In another sauce pan, combine brown sugar & cornstarch.

3Gradually whisk in hot mixture into brown sugar mixture.

4Add Butter.
Cook over med. heat, whisk constantly, 5 min or until thick. -
5Simmer 1 minute and stir in vanilla.

6Pour into uncooked pie shell and sprinkle w/cinnamon and nutmeg.
