Zeppoles are enjoyed in New York at street fairs... Nothing beats the taste of hot Zeppole covered in sugar. Receipe can be easily doubled.

Ingredients For zeppole

  • 1 c
    self raising flour
  • 1 c
    7-up or other lemon-lime flavored soda
  • pinch
    of salt
  • enough oil to deep fry
  • 1 c
    confectioners sugar

How To Make zeppole

  • 1
    Combine flour with 7-up and salt. Mix well
  • 2
    Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb oil. When you're done frying the dough, place the zeppoles in a paper bag add the confectioners sugar and shake the bag until all the Zeppole are covered in sugar... Enjoy!
