Ingredients For turtle cheesecake / turtle cheesecake bars

  • CRUST
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans - i used pecans
  • FILLING
  • 2 - 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 c
    lemon juice
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips or more if you like
  • 8 - 10 oz
    caramel topping
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts or pecans, chopped

How To Make turtle cheesecake / turtle cheesecake bars

    Preheat oven to 300 degree F. Mix cracker crumbs, sugar, nuts and margarine. Press into 9-inch spring form or cake pan. Set aside.

    Blend cream cheese until creamy. Mix in sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice; then add eggs and mix. Pour over crust.

    Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cream cheese layer and allow them to sink.

    Bake for 50-55 minutes.

    Remove and drizzle caramel topping over the top and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake for additional five minutes.

    Remove, cool, and refrigerate.
