Ingredients For the french café chocolate chip scones

  • 3-1/4 c
    flour
  • 1T + 1 ts
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    chilled whipping cream
  • 1 bag
    12 oz chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • coarse sugar for sprinkling

How To Make the french café chocolate chip scones

  • 1
    Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and chocolate chips. Add whipping cream and stir until moistened. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Roll each part into a 6-1/2 inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges with a pizza cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet. Melt butter and brush on scones with pastry brush. Sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake @ 375º for 20-25 minutes.
