beat eggs well add cond.milk and use a whisk.Blend together and then add reg.milk and blend well. While you are doing this, put 3/4 stick butter or margarine in a 13x9 in.pan and put in 350 deg.oven to melt.

cut bread slices into small squares or just chop it up,it makes no difference. Now,retrieve pan from oven (use pot holders)and add the brown sugar to pan and press into butter w/a fork.It dosen't have to be uniform. The butter will blend in w/ the bread mix as you pour it in.

now you add the sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon to the blend and mix,it will float on the top, that's ok.now you put he bread and the raisins into the milk and press down to let it sop up the milk for a minute before you pour it into the pan w/the butter and you may sprinkle a little more cinnamon over the top then put foil over the pan to keep in the steam and keep the top bread soft while it bakes

Ok now, read your book while it bakes and when a knife blade inserted in the center comes out clean,it's done. Here then is the hard part, waiting for it to cool so you may have some.put it on a rack to cool and then refrigerate til cold then serve w/ anything you want to dress it with, ice cream,1/2 n 1/2 etc.heavy cream really makes it.
