Ingredients For tart lemon bars

  • CRUST
  • 1 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 12 Tbsp
    frozen butter
  • LEMON FILLING
  • 1 1/4 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 4 lg
    eggs beaten
  • powered sugar

How To Make tart lemon bars

  • 1
    Mix the flour, brown sugar and salt together. with a box grater grate the butter into the mixture. Combine with fingers to form a coarse meal crust. Press into a 9 x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

    Combine the filling ingredients together and mix well. Pour over warm crust and bake another 20 minutes until filling is set. Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
