My grandson and his girlfriend came over for dinner the other night and I didn't have anything made for a desert, so I started throwing stuff together that I had on hand he loved it and took the rest home with him.. Strawberries are in season now so it's a good time to try this easy desert.

Ingredients For strawberry trifle

  • 16 oz
    lemon pound cake
  • 1 qt
    fresh ripened strawberries
  • 1 c
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 box
    french vanilla pudding (regular size)
  • 1 sm
    container of cool whip
  • 1/2 c
    hershey;s strawberry syrup
  • 2 c
    cold milk

How To Make strawberry trifle

    This is beautiful layered in a clear, glass trifle bowl .Cut cake into two inch squares and layer in bowl. Hull and slice strawberries and layer on top of cake. In a medium bowl, mix the pudding with two cups of milk and stir in the condensed milk. Pour it before it sets on the top of the layered ingredients. Spread the Cool whip over the top after it sets up and drizzle with strawberry syrup.
