My cousin Cassandra made this for us on Thanksgiving. It sounds strange, but it's a great combination of sweet and salty.

Ingredients For strawberry pretzel salad

  • 2 c
    crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 c
    melted margarine
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 3/4 c
    confectioner's sugar
  • 9 oz
    cool whip
  • 1 pkg
    strawberry jello (large package)
  • 3 c
    water (1/2 cup hot and the rest cold)
  • 2 pt
    strawberries, frozen, sliced and thawed

How To Make strawberry pretzel salad

  • 1
    Combine crushed pretzels, melted margarine and 3 tbsp sugar. Press into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and cool.

    Cream the cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip. Spread on pretzel crust and refrigerate. Mix Jell-O, water (hot and cold) and strawberries. Let Jell-O thicken and pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate. Cut and serve.
