strawberry coconut trifle
This was brought to a recent meeting of the Curious Cuisiners. After tasting it I saved the recipe so I could make it for neighborhood gatherings.

Ingredients For strawberry coconut trifle

1 pkgyellow cake mix

1 jarstrawberry jam
-
1 pkgcoconut cookies
-
1 canstrawberry pie filling

1 pkgcool whip
-
1/2 ccoconut

1 cfresh strawberries
How To Make strawberry coconut trifle

1Bake cake in two 8 inch pans as directed on box. Save one cake for another time and freeze. Break up one cake in large trifle or glass bowl.

2Heat jam in microwave for 30 seconds. Pour over cake in bowl.

3Spread 1/2 of the Cool Whip over the mixture.

4Break up enough coconut cookies to create a layer over the Cool Whip.

5Layer strawberry pie filling over cookies.

6Spread balance of Cool Whip over the pie filling

7Toast 1/2 cup of coconut and spread over Cool Whip.

8If desired layer more broken coconut cookies.

9Top with fresh strawberries.
