A take on a favorite from The Bakery in Sumpter Township, MI. I've been experimenting with puff pastry for a while, and I love these!

Ingredients For pecanamon twists

  • 1 pkg
    puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 4 Tbsp
    salted butter
  • 1/3 c
    white sugar
  • 1/3 c
    chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon

How To Make pecanamon twists

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400. Melt butter and chop pecans. Mix cinnamon into sugar. Add pecans to cinnamon sugar mixture.

    Lay out thawed dough on greased cookie sheets. Spread melted butter over dough.

    Sprinkle generous amount of pecanamon sugar on the dough. Fold sheets over and cut into 1" strips.

    Twist both ends of each strip in opposite directions til desired twist is reached. Bake at 400 until golden brown and puffed - approx. 18 minutes. Remove from sheet and cool on rack. Makes 2 dozen.
