I ate one of these at a church function and absolutely fell in love. I searched until I found who made it and got her recipe.

Ingredients For pecan pie squares

  • 2 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    butter, cut up
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 4 c
    pecans, chopped fine & lightly toasted

How To Make pecan pie squares

    For crust: cream butter and sugar, add egg and flour. Press into a large buttered cookie sheet with edges or 2 9x13 pans. It's kind of difficult to spread the mixture on the cookie sheet, but trust me, it is well worth the effort. Cook 20 minutes at 350 degrees & cool completely.

    For filling: Bring butter, brown sugar, white sugar, honey & cream to a boil, stirring constantly. Add pecans and salt and bring back to a boil. Cook for 2 minutes. Pour onto crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool completely and cut into bars or whatever shape you want. ENJOY!!!
