Ingredients For orange bavarian rice

  • 2 c
    chilled-cooked white rice
  • 2 c
    crushed pineapple-well drained-save juice
  • 1 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • 1 pkg
    3 ounce orange jello
  • 1 c
    boiling water
  • 1/2 c
    saved pineapple juice plus enough water added to make 1/2 cup
  • 1 pkg
    (1 envelope) dream whip
  • 1/2 c
    cold milk
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    orange extract

How To Make orange bavarian rice

  • 1
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water-add the pineapple juice. Chill until starting to set. In the mean time, add sugar to the rice, stir until well mixed, and set aside. Whip dream whip with milk and orange extract until stiff. Refrigerate. Remove jello mixture when it has started to set and whip until light and frothy. Carefully fold into the jello, the whipped dream whip, sweetened rice, pineapple and marshmallows. Place in a flat pan and chill until firmly set or overnight.
