Ingredients For margarita tart

  • 10 oz
    vanilla wafers
  • 1/3 c
    pine nuts
  • 1/2 c
    butter melted
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    tequila
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lime juice
  • 4
    egg yolks
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk 14 oz

How To Make margarita tart

  • 1
    For crust: Preheat oven to 350. Add wafers and pine nuts to food processor, pulse until well ground up. pour into bowl and add melted butter. mix with a wooden spoon and press into a 10 inch tart pan. (Reserve 4 T of crumbs to sprinkle on top when done baking.

    For filling: In a mixing bowl add egg whites and sugar and beat until there are soft peaks. In another bowl, add remeing ingredients and mix thoroughly. Fold in egg whites. Pour into tart shell and bake for 25 min. Remove from oven and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Let coole before cutting and serve with fresh whipped cream.
