These melt-in-your mouth bars were served at a function I recently attended. The malted milk powder adds a tasty twist to these bars. A great accompaniment to a cup of coffee or cold glass of milk!

1 call purpose flour

1/2 cpowdered malted milk

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/3 cshortening, melted

1 cbrown sugar

2eggs
-
2 Tbspmilk

1 tspvanilla extract

1/2 cchopped pecans
How To Make malted butterscotch bars - steph

1350 degree oven. Coat a 9x 13" pan with cooking spray.

2In medium bowl, sift together flour, malted milk powder, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, add melted shortening to sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Add milk, vanilla, nuts, and flour mixture. Mix well and pour into prepared baking dish.

3Bake 25 - 30 minutes. Mark into bars while hot. Remove from pan when cool. Note: Add 1 cup butterscotch chips for a truly rich flavor. DELISH!
