- CRUST;

1/3 ccrisco

1 cgranulated sugar

2 mdeggs(reserve 1 egg white for meringue)

1 1/2 call purpose flour

1 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
2 Tbspmilk
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1/2 tsplemon juice
- COCONUT MERINGUE:
-
1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
-
2/3 cflaked coconut
-
1/2 tspvanilla

1 mdegg white
How To Make ice and snow bars

1Crust: Blend Crisco with sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to the mixture alternately with the milk. Blend thoroughly, add flavoring. Spread 1/4-inch thick in greasedd cookie sheet. Cover with coconut meringue. --- Coconut Meringue: Beat the one(reserved) egg white until soft peaks form. Beat in sugar and add vanilla and coconut. Spread on top of cookie mixture. Bake 30 minutes in 325^ oven. Cut into squares.
