Ingredients For honey butter scones

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    cold butter;diced
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts;optional
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey

How To Make honey butter scones

  • 1
    In blender or food processor mix flour,sugar,cream of tartar,baking soda and salt until blended.Add butter and mix till resembles coarse meal.

    Put in bowl and make a well in the center of mixture.Pour milk and honey into well.

    Stir to form a soft dough and add walnuts.

    Press dough into 1/2 thick round on a floured surface. Cut into 8 wedges like cutting a pie.

    Put wedges onto greased baking sheet and bake 15 minutes until golden at 400 degrees.
