Growing up my mother would buy Sarah Lee's Banana Cake in a foil pan from the freezer section. This recipe tastes just like it!

Ingredients For frosted banana bars

1/2 cbutter -softened

1 1/2 csugar

2eggs
-
1 c(8 oz) sour cream

1 tspvanilla extract

2 call-purpose flour

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

2medium, ripe bananas mashed = about 1 cup
- FROSTING

1 pkg8 oz softened cream cheese
-
1/2 cbutter softened
-
2 tspvanilla extract
-
3 3/4 - 4 cpowdered sugar
How To Make frosted banana bars

1In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stire in bananas. Spread into a greased jelly roll pan - 15 x 10 x 1. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack.

2For Frosting: in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in enough powdered sugar to achieve desired consistency. When bars are cool frost. Store in refridgerator.
