These are so good, like eating cheese cake in a bar form. Also easy to make.

Ingredients For cream cheese squares

  • CRUST:
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    pecans, finely chopped
  • FILLING:
  • 2 pkg
    8-oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 4 tsp
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make cream cheese squares

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a 13x9 baking dish.

    In a medium bowl mix together brown sugar, softened butter, flour and pecans until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture into the 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

    While crust is baking , in a bowl mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Mix with electric mixer until well blended and creamy. Pour over baked crust. Sprinkle the 1 cup reserved crumbs evenly over the filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool, then refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares. Can be served with cool whip.
