16 ozcream cheese, softened

1 cunsalted butter, room temperature

1/2 Tbsppure vanilla extract

1/2 tspfine salt such as fleur de sel

4 cconfectioners' sugar, sifted
How To Make cream cheese frosting

1In the bowl of a stand mixer, add cream cheese and butter. Using the paddle attachment, process on low speed at first until mixed then increase to high and process until the mixture is fluffy, about 5 minutes, cleaning the sides and the bottom of the bowl.

2Add pure vanilla extract and fine salt. Process again for about 30 seconds.

3Reduce the speed to low and gradually add confectioners’ sugar. Mix until nicely blended before adding more.

4When sugar is all in, increase the speed to high and process for 2 minutes or until fluffy.
