Ingredients For coconut bars
- CRUST BASE

1/2 cupbutter or margarine

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cupbrown sugar

1 cupflour
- COCONUT TOPPING

2 lgeggs

1 cupbrown sugar

1 tspvanilla extract

1/2 tspbaking powder

2 Tbspflour

1 1/2 cupsshredded sweetened coconut

1 cupsnuts, coarsely chopped
How To Make coconut bars

1Preheat oven to 325°F. Lightly butter an 8x12-inch baking dish; set aside.

2Mix together the butter, salt, brown sugar and flour until well blended. Press into the prepared baking dish in an even layer. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven; set aside.

3Beat eggs well. Add all remaining ingredients and beat until all ingredients are well mixed. Spread over the baked crust. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes. Let cool, then cut into bars.
