Ingredients For chocolate salted caramel sauce

  • 2 oz
    good quality dark chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make chocolate salted caramel sauce

    Place the chocolate in a bowl and set aside.

    In a medium saucepan combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil and reduce temp to medium/ high and continue to boil without stirring just swirling pan once in a while until the mixture is a deep amber color.

    Remove from heat and add 1 tbsp cream and be careful the mixture will bubbly up. Place over low heat and stir in the cream then whisk in the butter. Add the salt and butter. Then stir in the chocolate until the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat.
