I found this recipe in my Better Homes & Gardens Dessert Cookbook that a friend gave me as a gift in Jan 1974! I make them whenever I don't want to make a whole cheesecake. Always gets rave reviews! Sorry that I don't have a picture. I will post one the next time I make them.

Ingredients For cheesecake diamonds

5 Tbspbutter

1/3 cpacked brown sugar

1 call-purpose flour

1/4 cchopped walnuts

1/2 cgranulated sugar

1-8oz. pkgcream cheese
-
1egg
-
2 Tbspmilk
-
1 Tbsplemon juice
-
1/2 Tbspvanilla
How To Make cheesecake diamonds

1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and brown sugar; add flour and nuts and mix well. Set aside one cup mixture for topping. Press the remainder in the bottom of a 8x8x2" baking pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

2Blend sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk,lemon juice & vanilla. Beat well. Spread over the top of the baked crust; sprinkle with the reserved topping.

3Return to oven. Bake 25 minutes more. Cool, then chill. Cut in diamonds.
