This is an old recipe passed down from my Grandmother, Mary Bess Laubscher, who lived through The Great Depression as a child. She made some amazing food, especially desserts!

Ingredients For brown sugar fudge

1 cbrown sugar, packed

1 stickbutter. melted

1/4 cmilk

2 cconfectioners' sugar

1 cnut meat
How To Make brown sugar fudge

1In a sauce pan, at med to med high, melt butter then add brown sugar, stirring until melted.

2Add milk and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

3Once cooled, stir in confectioners sugar and nut meat. Mix well and spread into a greased, rectangle or square, glass dish and chill until set.

4Once completely chilled and set, cut into squares and serve.
