Ingredients For black forest brownies

1/2 cbutter, melted

1 csugar

1 tspvanilla

2eggs

1/2 call purpose flour

1/4 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 cchopped maraschino cherries

1/3 cdark cocoa
- BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

3 Tbspbutter (softened)

3 Tbspdark cocoa

1 Tbsplight karo
-
1/2 tspvanilla extract

1 cconfectioners' sugar

1-2 Tbspmilk
How To Make black forest brownies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Grease square 9x9 pan.

3In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar and vanilla.

4Add eggs and blend well.

5Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, and gradually blend into egg mixture.

6Stir in cherries.

7Spread into prepared pan and bake 20-25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool.

8To make buttercream frosting, in a small mixing bowl, cream butter, cocoa, Karo, and vanilla.

9Add confectioners' sugar and milk; beat to spreading consistency. Frost the brownies.
