This is the best coffee cake I have ever tasted. You can substitute chocolate chips for the nuts or try your own combinations.

- FOR THE CAKE

3/4 csoftened butter

2 lgeggs

1 csugar

2 tspvanilla

1 csour cream

2 1/2 cflour

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda
- FOR THE STREUSEL

1/2 cbrown sugar

3/4 cflour

2 1/2 tspcinnamon

1 cchopped walnuts

6 Tbspmelted butter
- FOR THE GLAZE

1 cpowdered sugar
-
1 tspvanilla
-
2-3 Tbspheavy cream
How To Make big ole bill's cinnamon streusel coffee cake

1Preheat oven to 350.

2In a mixing bowl cream, the sugar and butter together. Add the eggs and mix until combined. Add the sour cream and vanilla and mix well.

3Mix all cake's dry ingredients together and add to previous mixture in the bowl. Mix only enough until it is combined. The batter will appear slightly thick.

4Put all streusel ingredients in a bowl, and mix with a fork until combined. It will be sticky.

5Grease a 9 X 13 pan. Spread 1/2 the cake batter evenly in the pan, sprinkle 1/2 the streusel over the top. Drop the remaining batter by using a spoon over the top. Spread as evenly as you can. Cover with the remaining streusel.

6Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Take the cake out of the oven.

7Drizzle the glaze over the top of the baked cake while it is still warm.
