- This recipe is quick and easy, with amounts of ingredients flexible and forgiving. - You can also reduce the amount of sugar intake by switching to sugar-free pudding and sugar-free Cool Whip. - The listed optional ingredients were not used in this photo, however, have been many times over. Add other ingredients to customize your family's preference. - I also make an Orange Fluff version of this using 1) vanilla instant pudding instead of banana; 2) eliminate pineapple, coconut and fruit cocktail, replacing with 2 cans Mandarin Oranges; 3) include a small box of orange jello.

Ingredients For banana split fluff

  • 1 small box
    instant banana cream pudding
  • 1 or 2
    bananas, sliced
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple
  • 1 can
    fruit cocktail
  • 1/2 to 1 c
    shredded coconut
  • 1
    8oz container cool whip, thawed
  • 1 to 2 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • 1
    small can mandarin oranges (optional)
  • 1
    small jar stemless maraschino cherries (optional)
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans (optional)

How To Make banana split fluff

  • 1
    Combine all of the ingredients into a medium size bowl and mix thoroughly. Chill for at least an hour before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

    NOTE: adjust the fruits/nuts to amounts you and your family prefer. If your family doesn't like one of the ingredients, simply omit it. I typically adjust this recipe according to what I have in my pantry.
